Our main mission is to defend freedom and civil rights, which are the democratic foundations of Poland - a member of the the European Union.
We have been operating for more than 25 years, also as part of different international organisations of judges. We associate over 3,500 judges, most of them in Poland.

Supreme Court judges express willingness to remain in service after July 3rd

On 12th June another two Supreme Court judges who reached the age of 65 have made statements to the First President of the Supreme Court that they are willing to remain in service after July 3rd.

Judges of the Criminal Department, Przemysław Kalinowski and Józef Szewczyk – have based their statements on Article 180 of the Polish Constitution, that guarantees that judges cannot be removed from their office.

Given that, by now 16 judges have made such statements, out of which 9 are based on the regulations of the new act on the Supreme Court of 8th December 2017 while 7 statements are based directly on the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.
