The letter of the Presidents of the European Judges Association to the President of the Polish Judges Association Iustitia Krystian Markiewicz.

September 22nd 2021

Polish Judges Association "Iustitia"

President of the National Board

Krystian Markiewicz

Dear Colleague,

On this occasion we would like once again to express our gratitude for your kind and warm words on the occasion of our election as president of EAJ and members of the EAJ board and members of the IAJ Presidency Committee.

We hope that we will be able to meet all expectations invested in us during our mandate.

Polish judges are facing real and constant threat to their independence and autonomy. For all judges in Europe all brave efforts what your Association is doing in protecting judges are example and lighthouse for all of us.

In EAJ there is strong feeling that all our activities done so far showing solidarity with “Justitia” and Polish judges are not directed only for judges and society as a whole in Poland but also for judges in whole Europe.

According to mentioned above, please take assurances that EAJ Board will maintain the course and commitment of EAJ in this case.

Mr. President, dear Colleague please feel free and do not hesitate to address us on any occasion you feel deserves EAJ attention, action and reaction.

Szczerze z tobą

Yours,

Duro Sessa
